Note: In November 2013 I got the question if I could make a painting, Croatian summer, a nudist beach and normally people (no models or so, ordinary people). It turned out better than I could imagine and I'm a bit mad at my self put a price tag on it before I started to paint it. This should be a 475-550€ painting but the price I said to my customers is maybe half that :P darn it :D

I'd try to get the sea greenish, but I'm not sure it's enough mediterranean feeling :)

Note: This is a painting to my father-in-law. The lighthouse is Vinga Fyr (outside Gothenburg) where Evert Taube grow up. I've gotten the inspiration from his dance hobby and a waltz written by Lasse Dahlquist 1941 "Det är dans på Brännö Brygga" ("dancing on the bridge of Brännö" or something), first line goes "Kors vad det vimlar av segel idag" (there's a lot of sailing boats today). There's the idea :)

This is one of my very first acrylic paintings and before I made the big ones I showed the client two small sketches. When I showed the client these small ones (approx 20x30cm) they said they where expecting some bigger paintings so I had the order! =)

The sketch to this one was sold at my first vernissage, summer of 1998. By the way, that weekend (2 days) I sold 20 of 21 paintings :)

The frame is made by wood that I've found at the seashore of Marstrand (and the islands nearby)

Note: There's actually two paintings with this motif. They don't look exactly the same, this one is the bigger and the newest. "Never forget" has two meanings. I gave this painting to my daughters godfather as a birthday present. He, like me, used to sail a lot when he was a kid. That's the first "never forget". In the sail he got loads of important dates and years that he shouldn't forget... There's also a secret message written with flags on the side.
